​​BIO

I am an internationally published photographer with a lifetime of immersion in the visual arts. I've been a professor of Fine Arts, a workshop facilitator and presenter, and the owner of several studios. My work has appeared worldwide in over 90 juried exhibitions and I have appeared in a variety of prestigious publications.   

I hold the following credentials:

​

  • Extensive education at the New York Institute of Photography 

  • A Master of Fine Arts Degree (Studio Art)

  • A Bachelor's Degree (Studio Art and Art History)

  • I have over 15 years of experience teaching Studio Art at the university level and have served as Department Chairman at two institutions

  • I've honed my "people skills" through years of working with individuals and groups as a facilitator and workshop leader. You will find that our time together will be rewarding, self affirming, and revealing. 

  • I enjoy tackling large projects as well as small. Feel free to contact me should you need photography services of any kind.

 

RECENT PUBLICATIONS AND MAGAZINES

  • As of March, 2020, my image "Molly Among the Flowers" was included in the prestigious "Red List, Society and Culture".

  • "Anthurium, 2020; A Fever Dream". a photo essay, was the featured article in "Private, An International Photo Review".  This is a European publication of avant garde photography and literature and is headquartered in the Burgundy Region of France.

  • I had a feature piece on a bridal design salon in "Inside Weddings" in November, 2020. This is the premier magazine in this genre worldwide.  Please note that these were fashion and business development photos for industry professionals.  I do not shoot weddings.

  • My work is in the possession of many educational, corporate, and private collections.

  • I currently hold an ever-changing portfolio and profile with "Lens Culture" magazine, Amsterdam, Netherlands. This has an audience of over one million photo enthusiasts, editors, creative directors, and gallery owners worldwide.  "The Guardian" has praised this highly regarded publication as "One of the most authoritative and wide ranging sites".  It is easily searchable and is a terrific publication and online venue for those of you who like photography.

  • My photo essay on the theme of "Our Unmade Bed" appreared in "Boooooooom...Photos, Essays, Culture", Vancouver, Canada, in June, 2021.

  • My photo essay, "A Still Place", was featured in FStoppers, May, 2021.

  • Album Cover and liner art for the collection, 'Four Seasons of Isolation', Classical Music for Violin and Electronics, composed and performed by Avner Finberg, DMA, 2022.

  • Participant in 'Surfaces', a show of experimental photography at the Arts Center in Kentlands, Maryland, 2022.

  • Invited participant in a large annual exhibition in Milan, Italy at the Spazio Tolomeo. The show was titled 'Window on International Photography', 2023.
